Ours Days Fade Like a Shadow
Psalm 102:11-12 and A Shadow on Boulders, Canyonlands National Park, Utah.
“My days are like a lengthened shadow, and I wither away like grass. But You, O LORD, abide forever, and Your name to all generations.” Psalms 102:11-12
The Stability of a Shadow
The Bible tell us God is good to us. Psalm 102 makes this clear. It contrasts the sinfulness and fallibility of human kind with the greatness and goodness of God. This Psalm also tells us of God’s great mercy towards us despite our depravity and sin.
Our time on earth fades quickly like a shadow. We pass away after just a few short years. God and everything about Him last forever. Rely on Him and Him alone. May He help us make the most of everyday.
How will you use the time God gives us in this withering life?
Amen. Praise the Lord for His goodness to us.
I have had a difficult relationship with my wife with Bi polar and autism and the physical side has not been there for a long time this has damaged my faith in God and I still see no breakthrough or positive beginning so I am not taking communion at present as not in the right spirit
I’d pray for you. May God move and bring restoration.
