Exodus 33:21-22 and the Sunset from the Island in the Sky, Canyon Lands National Park, Utah.
“Then the Lord said, ‘There is a place near me where you may stand on a rock. When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by.’” Exodus 33:21-22
We Will See His Glory
The glory of God is so much greater than the glory of a sunset, yet a sunset gives us a glimpse of His glory. In Exodus 33 Moses caught a glimpse of God’s actual glory while on Mount Sinai. God could not show Moses His face and His full glory because Moses would die due to his human sin nature. But because of Jesus and His death and resurrection Christian believers will see God face to face in His eternal glory.
To learn about Moses and his fellowship with God read all of Exodus 33 .

“For You have been a defense for the helpless, A defense for the needy in his distress, A refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat; For the breath of the ruthless Is like a rain storm against a wall.” Isaiah 25:4
God Our Defense
In God we find our defenses. He is our refuge from the storm. He protects His believers at all times. He is an impenetrable fortress.

John 12:46 and Wall Street, Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah.
“I have come as Light into the world, so that everyone who believes in Me will not remain in darkness.” John 12:46
Jesus, Light to the World
It looks like I find myself using verses on light the past few days. That’s ok. Jesus entered a world of souls searching in darkness in need of light. When He arrived He brought light to the world and overcame the darkness. Those who desire the Light, follow it. When we follow Christ we leave a world of darkness for a world of light.
See the Light. Follow the Light. The Hope and Light in this world of darkness is Jesus Christ.
