The Refreshing Pool of God’s Redemption
Isaiah 35:7 and Bison at a Waterhole, Custer State Park, South Dakota.
“The scorched land will become a pool and the thirsty ground springs of water. In the haunt of jackals, its resting place, grass becomes reeds and rushes.” Isaiah 35:7
A Refreshing Pool for the Thirsty
In Isaiah 34 the prophet writes of God’s judgment falling on the nations surrounding Israel. God’s judgement is harsh, but we can praise Him. His judgement does not fall in a vacuum.
The following chapter, Isaiah 35, brings hope in the message of God’s redemption. Just like a refreshing pool of pure water brings revival and satisfaction to those who are thirsty, God’s redemption brings revival and satisfaction to our lives.
Pray for national revival and that our nation would avoid God’s judgment.
