Isaiah 44: 22-23a and Clouds Cover Hills in Olympic National Park, Washington State.
“I have wiped out your transgressions like a thick cloud and your sins like a heavy mist. Return to Me, for I have redeemed you.’ Shout for joy, O heavens, for the LORD has done it! Shout joyfully.” Isaiah 44: 22-23a
God Brings the Joy of Forgiveness
In this Bible passage God promises to forgive Israel of their sins. How great a joy and inspiration it is to know that God promises and gives Christians that forgiveness as well.
These verses create a beautiful image of God’s forgiveness. Just like when clouds or fog move in to cover the hills and mountains, Christ covers our sins. Only, unlike a fog, His forgiveness never fades away. He forgives forever.
