Take Courage. Do not be Afraid

Jesus Calls us to Take Courage
Eagles look like courageous and regal birds. They soar with ease and rule the skies. Their majesty and beauty evokes feelings of courage and inspiration in us.
Often the Bible tells us to take courage and not to be afraid. So then, why do we fear?
In this passage of Scripture (Matthew 14:22-33) Jesus walks on water towards His disciples who were in a boat struggling against the wind and waves. Jesus did not want them to look at the storm. He wanted them to look at Him.
Jesus wants us to look at Him in the storms of life. He will get in our boat and either calm the storm, like He did for the disciples or He will ride out the storm with us.
Dear Jesus, Help me to look at you and not the wind and the waves. Amen.
Thanks for the reminder that God is ALWAYS there. We are never without Him.
Hi Edwin. You’re welcome and amen!
