The Trees Sing For Joy
Isaiah 44:23 and Hallett Peak and Flattop Mountain from Dream Lake, Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado.
“Sing for joy, you heavens, for the LORD has done this; shout aloud, you earth beneath. Burst into song, you mountains, you forests and all your trees, for the LORD has redeemed Jacob, He displays His glory in Israel.” Isaiah 44:23 (NIV)
Sing for Joy All Creation
Many times the Bible uses mountains and forests to illustrate God’s glorious workings and even the redemption of His people. Not only will God redeem believers, He will also redeem all of creation! Let our hearts join with nature and sing for joy to our Lord.
How have you sensed creation singing for joy? Have you ever heard it “Burst into song”? Let me know in the comments below.
Read all of Isaiah 44 and find encouragement in God’s redemption of His people.
“and heav’n and nature sing…’ –Joy to the World!
Amen! Heaven and nature do sing!
Singing changes a person too. Try it
Thanks Jim! And yes it does!
I’ve heard creation sing for joy in a sunrise at Grand Canyon, and I’ve heard creation sing when the sun breaks through the clouds and strikes the Grand Teton mountains. God has, indeed, made His creation sing for joy!
I hear creation sing for joy every time I hear a bird sing, a dog barking, an owl hooting, the sounds of horses, cattle, sheep and pigs, the rain hitting the roof of my porch, a wave crashing up on shore, the wind blowing in a storm, during every gorgeous sunrise and sunset. All of this reminds me of God’s glory and how they all sing to Him in different ways. This is how we all should be.
Yes! I feel so close to God in nature. The sky, mountains, water, ocean, He is the Great I Am!
Every time I see a beautiful sunset, or rain storm, I think of an Alan Jackson song, When God paints, birds sing.
Thanks Paula. That’s beautiful.
It doesn’t matter if I am in the city, or the middle of nowhere mountains of Idaho – creation constantly sings and praises the LORD. It only requires that we stop and listen………….
Amen Deborah! Amen!
One time we were driving across Arizona and we stopped at a rest stop to eat. We brought the food over to a table and I looked up at the sky. It was the most spectacular sunset I have ever seen. It was like, ‘Then sings my soul…’
Hi Kelli. That’s awesome! Sometimes sunsets can really speak to us about the greatness of God.
