Jesus went to the Mountain
John 6:15 and Mount Hope with the Twin Peaks, San Isabel National Forest, Colorado.
“So Jesus, perceiving that they were intending to come and take Him by force to make Him king, withdrew again to the mountain by Himself alone.” John 6:15
Finding Peace on a Mountain
The Bible tells us when the world pressed in around Him, Jesus headed to a mountains, and spent time with His Father there.
Mountains and the great outdoors are a peaceful place to meet with God. Just like Jesus, to escape the things of this world, we could head into nature to seek the face of God.
If you’re able bodied and have the opportunity to, I would encourage you to meet with God in His creation. But even if you cannot meet with God in nature, it is more important just to spend time with Him wherever you can. Meet with Him anywhere. We grow in our faith when find a spot alone and spend time with God.
Read all of John 6.
