Jesus is The Lamb of God Who Takes Away the Sins of the World

“The next day John the Baptist saw Jesus coming to him and said, ‘Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!’” John 1:29
The Lamb of God
Two thousand years ago the Hebrew people brought their bulls, goats and lambs to the temple priests. The priests then sacrificed the animals as an offering for the sins of the people. Unfortunately, the blood of the animals only covered up their sins and did not wash them away. But then Jesus came.
Jesus Christ came as the final lamb and died on the cross to save us from our sins. In the Bible, Isaiah 53:7 says that because of our sin Jesus, “Was oppressed and He was afflicted, yet He did not open His mouth; Like a lamb that is led to slaughter, and like a sheep that is silent before its shearers, so He did not open His mouth.”
Jesus spoke nothing in His defense. As the Lamb of God He willing died for our sins.
Without Jesus we can do nothing to get rid of the evil within us. He is the only way.
This Easter, trust in Jesus and make Him your Savior.
