His Workmanship
Ephesians 2:10 and Snow Covered Blueberry Leaves, Bellevue, Nebraska
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10
We are His Workmanship Created with Gifts
When I photograph nature, I like to think about what the subject I’m photographing tells me about God. When photographing these snow covered blueberry leaves, I added a twist to that thought. Instead, I thought about what does this subject tell me about my relationship with God?
These thoughts came to me. The snow made me think about cold. The red leaves made me think of hidden beauty. Then I thought about myself and how often my personality can be cold. I sometimes get buried by the things of life and frustrated by my failures. But yet, despite my coldness and frustration, God gives me the vision to see beauty in things that others might miss. Most people may have just overlooked these leaves, but God has given me eyes to see the beauty in such things.
God created each one of us with gifts to use for Him. Sure we all have flaws, but God’s gifts to us are greater than our flaws. How do you use your gifts to do good works for God?

Hiya Pat …
Super duper great snap … and reflection/ devotion/ comments.
I REALLY thank God for how, again and again and again, you have known how … “God gives me the vision to see beauty in things that others might miss. Most people may have just overlooked these leaves, but God has given me eyes to see the beauty in such things” … things I have missed/ don’t see.
Keep at it Brother … all for the Glory of God!
Warm Brotherly greetings …
Hi Nick! Thanks so much for your encouraging comment. God gifts us all in different ways. And as you wrote, “All for the Glory of God!” amen
