Following the Path of Life
I often like to photograph down trails. I don’t know why, but I think it reminds me that God is leading me somewhere. He leads all those who follow Him and diligently seek Him. He leads us to a better place on “the path of life.”
The better place He leads us to is not in this world. In this world we will have pain, suffering and hard times, but our final destination is not on this earth. God’s final destination for us is in paradise with Him and that is definitely a better place. There, we will find peace, contentment, glory and more importantly God’s complete presence with “fullness of joy” and “pleasures forever.”

On the same theme, I enjoy taking pictures of natural stairsteps in the trails–roots, boulders, footprints in the sand–and use the verse like the one in Proverbs that says, “Man plans his ways, but God directs his steps.” During difficult times, God often only gives us enough revelation to see ahead just one more step, or just around one more bend in the trail. We have to trust Him for the unseen beyond that.
