Parenthood, the Most Important Leadership
1 Timothy 3:1a, 4-5 and a Robin with Chicks, Eastern Nebraska.
“If any man aspires to the office of overseer… He must be one who manages his own household well, keeping his children under control with all dignity (but if a man does not know how to manage his own household, how will he take care of the church of God?)” 1 Timothy 3:1a, 4-5
Parenthood First
Leadership starts in the home. Parenthood takes dedication and hard work. Even a robin knows that. But human parents not only feed bellies, we also feed souls and minds.
The Bible calls us to spiritually feed and lead our children well, before it calls us to feed and lead others. God calls believers to family first and ministry and work second. He knows that if we lead our homes well He can use us to lead elsewhere.
For fathers and mothers, parenting comes before work and ministry.
