“Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

God’s Unconditional Love

Scientists tell us that animals don’t love as we love. They function mostly by instinct and through instinct they care for their young. But even though they live by instinct, the care they give their young can give us an illustration of sacrificial and unconditional love.

Many animals live wholly dedicated to raising their young. Nothing else seems to matter to them. Some animals are even willing to die for their young.

Jesus cares for us far greater than any parent cares for its young. He loves us unconditionally. Jesus is patient, kind, and puts up with all of our short comings. He even died for us. Next time you see an animal caring for its young, remember Jesus’s love for you is far, far greater.
