A Cord of Three Strands: Strength in Togetherness
Ecclesiastes 4:12 and Three Watchful Deer, Lake Manawa State Park, Iowa.
“Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” Ecclesiastes 4:12 (NIV)
A Cord of Three Stands Strong
While I photographed these three deer a fourth deer stood about 20 feet behind me. She nervously looked for an opportunity to join the other deer and eventually did. Deer are herd animals and find greater safety and security in numbers.
The Bible encourages Christian believers to stick together. When we stand by one another we can provide help to each other in countless ways. Together we can find community, friendship, emotional, physical and spiritual support, accountability and so much more.
After 2020, many Christians continued to attend church online and became less personally involved. That’s not good for us spiritually. We need to meet and be with other believers for our spiritual being, and the health of our faith.
Ecclesiastes 4:8-12. It talks about the importance of standing together.
These are beautiful daily devotions.
