Desires of Your Heart
Psalm 37:4-5 and Mountain Cliffs above a Valley Stream, Wind River Wilderness, Wyoming.
“Delight yourself in the LORD; And He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, and He will do it. ” Psalm 37:4-5
God’s Desires Become Yours
God makes great things and gives us great desires. When we trust the Lord and pursue Him, we no longer desire the things of our will, but the things of God’s Will. He places new, godly desires in our hearts. When we commit to God’s way, He will bring what we desire to pass. Amen.

Be happy in the Lord and he will give us the desires of our hearts! The joy of the Lord is our strength.
Amen Morris!
Pat, this is wonderful! I’ve understood this Scripture this way for many years, and it gives me great peace to know that I have heard from Him … you have confirmed it! God bless you and your family. Your ministry may only touch one person – me! – or it may touch thousands, but it is indeed the Lord at work through you! Thank you!
Hi Bebe. Thanks so much for your kind words. How great is God that He used this post to confirm what He has taught you.
Amen
Thanks for this reminder. In a situation right now that requires me to seek God’s will instead of my own. I sometimes forget that part of this verse. It’s difficult sometimes to rest in His promises when the issue at hand is so emotional. Thanks again. God bless!!!
Hi Deborah. Thanks for your comment. I think we all have a habit of forgetting the context of the entire verse. May we all delight ourselves in God and commit our way to Him.
This comforts me so much! We are traveling across the US Wednesday through next Thursday. I worry so much about our kitties and dog. This is a wonderful reminder that God is good and will be watching over our home and animals while we are gone!
Thank you!

Amen Deborah. God watches over all those we love, including our pets. The Bible is clear in telling us God cares for all living things.
Great shot!
Thank you Dede!
