The Gentle Path of God’s Commandments

The Right Trail and the Path of God
One would think that this is a photograph of a peaceful snow covered trail in a mountain meadow dotted with pine trees. But no, it’s not. It’s a gentle ski slope used by new skiers. I took the photo while on a ski trip in Colorado.
Beginning skiers need to follow the signs to stay on the correct ski slope. If a beginning skier strays off the easy course, they can get into big trouble. In order to experience the best skiing, they need to ski on the right trail. That’s the path that will be fun for them, and that they will find “delight in.”
In our life, God has a trail for us to follow. We need to follow it, otherwise we will get into trouble. The Bible explains that when we follow the path of God’s commandments, we will find delight in it!
