Psalm 72:18-19 and Fall Trees and a Mountain Lake, Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado.
“Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who alone does marvelous deeds. And blessed be His glorious name forever; may all the earth be filled with His glory. Amen and amen” Psalm 72:18-19
It’s September! My favorite time of year. I can’t wait for fall weather and fall colors!!!
Now to todays devotion.
A Singing Creation Filled with His Glory
I listen to a lot of Christian music. One song I like that came out a few years ago is called “What A Beautiful Name.” It’s a gorgeous song about the name of Jesus, but it contains one line I don’t like.
That line speaks of God’s “hidden glory in creation” and it is incorrect. Creation does not hide God’s glory, it sings and shouts it as loud as loud can shout. I think to myself, the person who wrote that song must live in a warm climate. They obviously never took a walk in an autumn woods.
As Psalm 72 says, “May all the earth be filled with His glory. Amen and amen.” In the fall the earth certainly is filled with God’s glory. Praise Him!
Read all of Psalm 72 or listen to these children sing “What A Beautiful Name.”
