Job 11:7-9 and Mount Katahdin from a Nearby Lake in Maine.
“Can you discover the depths of God? Can you discover the limits of the Almighty? They are high as the heavens, what can you do? Deeper than Sheol, what can you know? Its measure is longer than the earth and broader than the sea.” Job 11:7-9
A God with No Limits
In his suffering Job was rebuked by three friends, Zophar, Eliphaz and Bildad. Most of the time Job’s friends were wrong, but in this passage of scripture Job’s friend Zophar got it right. Our transcendent, infinite God exists with no limits.
This landscape photograph of a distant Mount Katahdin hints of the mountains greatness. But no matter how great a mountain is, it only hints of the greatness of God. Nothing and no one comes close to matching our limitless God.
