The Visual Verse and Creation Speaks Statement of Faith

Three crosses on lake shore at sunrise, Camp Luther, Colfax County, Nebraska and Mark 15:46-47. The empty cross:As a creation speaker I feel it’s important to start my statement of faith with creation. I believe in a “young earth” or an earth measured in thousands of years and not millions/billions. However, if you describe yourself as an “old earth” creationist (the day-age theory, framework theory, etc…) you would still enjoy the focus of my ministry. Old earth and new earth is something we can debate within Christianity. I once held an old earth view, but no longer do. All that being said, I do believe theistic evolution is incompatible with the Bible and therefore my ministry as I speak and write of the uniqueness of the human creation and a literal Garden of Eden with a literal Adam and Eve.

Statement of Faith on God

I have a classic view of the Trinity as Father, Son and Holy Spirit—Three distinct persons existing as one God. As God is an infinite God and we are finite people we cannot completely comprehend this concept, but it is how God presents Himself in Scripture. Here are few of the many verses declaring the Father is God: Isaiah 63:16, Malachi 2:10, Luke 10:21-22 and 1 Peter 1:3. These are some of the many verses declaring Jesus is God: Matthew 12:8, Matthew 28:17-18, Mark 1:3, Mark 2:28, John 1:1, John 5:17,18, John 8:58, and John 10:30-33. And finally, here are few of the many verses declaring The Holy Spirit is God: Matthew 28:19, John 6:63, Acts 4:3-5, Romans 8:11 and Ephesians. 4:4-6.

The Bible

The Bible is the Word of God and the original copies were without error. The manuscript evidence we have today is extremely reliable and accurate and is “profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)”

Salvation

Salvation is through faith alone, through Christ alone, “Not as a result of works, so that no one may boast (Ephesians 2:9).” Jesus is the only way to the Father. He is, “the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. (John 14:6)”
