Rest for Your Soul
Matthew 11:28-29 and a Creek and A Spring Feed Creek, Platte River State Park, Nebraska.
“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS.” Matthew 11:28-29
Rest for Your Soul in Jesus
Do you ever feel heavy-laden and burdened? Does life ever give you more than you can handle? Some say that “God never gives us more than we can handle.” I don’t believe that’s true and I don’t think it can be backed by Scripture.
As finite human beings, we can only take so much before we become overwhelmed and crushed. But our infinite God wants to take what we cannot handle. God calls us to come to Him and give Him the burdens we cannot carry.
Give Jesus what troubles you. He wants to carry it for you. Let Him take your burdens and lead your heart to a peaceful quiet place of rest for your soul.
