Experience Our Father’s Peace
Guest Post by Bruce Barton: 1 Corinthians 14:33 and Calm Waters in Glacier Bay, Southeast Alaska.
“For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.” 1 Corinthians 14:33
Our Father’s Peace
It’s not very often that the waters of Southeast Alaska are this calm. Likewise, in the world it seems rare that things are totally peaceful. We’re always being buffeted by storms of one kind or another, be it in the culture around us or internal strife. But we have a refuge from the storms of life: our Father in heaven.
Our Father’s peace is always available to us; we just need to learn how to appropriate it. It’s not always easy. We tend to get so wrapped up in daily problems that oftentimes, seeking the Lord’s peace is a last resort. But if we make prayer a daily habit, His peace can become reality.
Read all of 1 Corinthians 14.
