Draw Near to God Washed and Pure
Hebrews 10:22, Mirror Lake and the Snowy Range Mountains, Wyoming.
“Let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.” Hebrews 10:22
Because of Christ We can Draw Near to God
In the Old Testament, the people could not enter the presence of God. Only the priests were allowed to enter the inner sanctuaries of the Hebrew Temple. There, the priest would offer sacrifices to God.
The book of Hebrews tells us that system is gone. Through Christ’s supreme sacrifice, God made believers washed and pure. Now all believers can freely come before God and God calls us to draw near to Him. He wants us to connect with Him.
My favorite place to draw near to God is in the outdoors. But I can’t always be there and probably neither can you. So it’s my hope that through my photography I can help you better connect with God and draw near to Him.
PS
My new devotional is titled Drawing Near. I have some big news coming out soon! Please keep the book production in your prayers.
It would be very nice if your pictures were seasonal. I live in New York and want to see winter pictures in winter, spring pictures in spring, summer pictures in summer and fall pictures in fall.
Hi Cathy. Thanks for your comment. I do run more winter photos in the winter and more fall photos in the fall, etc, but audience feedback over the years shows
that most of my followers do not prefer to see photos that highlight the same season day after day. Most of my followers prefer a mix. So I try to mix it up, even though I like running lots of winter photos.
Beautiful scripture and a loving Father who is all about keeping us connected with him. Beautiful pictures of the clean clear water and mountains, very peaceful.I try to get outside alone with God every day. I just got back from Tahoe and these pictures took me right back there. God bless you and thank you.
Hi Kelly. Thanks for your comment! I’m glad you are blessed by the photos and the devotions and that this photo took you back to your recent time spent in the mountains.
Thank you for the beautiful pictures linked with scripture. God Bless.
You’re welcome, John! And thanks for your kind comment.
