The Pure Splendor of Holiness
Psalm 96:9 and a Snow and Hoarforst Covered Field, Sarpy County, Nebraska.
“Worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness; tremble before Him, all the earth!” Psalm 96:9
God’s Perfect Splendor of Holiness
(It’s December. Time for a snow photo. 😀)
What does it mean that God is holy and why does Psalm 96 call us to worship Him? The holiness of God means He is completely pure without blemish. Evil does not exist in God. The splendor of His holiness is whiter than snow.
Good is so incredibly holy, so incredibly good, so incredibly magnificent the only true response one could have is to worship Him. Those who know God worship Him.
This photo appears in my devotional book Drawing Nearing: meeting God in His Creation. Because the devotional makes for a great Christmas gift, it is currently 30% off.
Amen!
Praise God!
