Fruit of the Spirit
Galatians 5:22-23 and Strawberries, Eastern Nebraska.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23
Live by the Fruit of the Spirit
I love fruit. Think of all its great qualities. Fruit is juicy, sweet, nutritious and it contains seeds to give life. When we think of the goodness of fruit we find it easy to understand why God told Christians to bear the fruit of the spirit.
When we first believe and start to follow Jesus the fruit of the spirit begins to grow in our life. That doesn’t mean we won’t ever sin, but if someone calls themselves a Christian we should see spiritual fruit in their life. So much so that Matthew 7:20 tell us, “So then, you will know them by their fruits.”
Christ is evident in us by our good works. When we show the Fruit of the Spirit we show Christ to the world.
Read all of Galatians 5.
Beautiful.
Thanks Shelia! Beautiful and Yummy!
Thank you for this, Pat. The enemy is relentless in reminding me of my sins. It is reassuring to know that the Fruit of the Spirit is evident in my life.
Amen Bebe. The enemy continues to try and blind us from the work of God in our life. We need see our sin to stay humble before God, but we always need to remember to see the fruit in our own life to know God is active in us and to praise Him for the work He is doing.
Professing Christians must not only talk but act and show the top difference of being a true christian rather than the other one. The fruit of the Holy spirit can show us the type of Christ followers enliven to each of us.
I really appreciate Visual verse for continuously sending me bible inspiration that ignite me to pray, to serve and to continue my personal testimony as proponents of God’s words.
GOD SPEED to Visualverse Admin&staff.
You’re Welcome, Catalina! Thanks for your thoughtful and encouraging comment.
Pingback:Freedom in Christ - The Visual Bible Verse of the Day
The Word of God is always our baseline, for He does nothing outside of these principles that are given to us, to determine what is of Him, and what is not. His fruit is the Only desired fruit that the people of God, would want displayed before others. He is this Fruit of the Spirit, and He is the Only One that can give us His own! Amen. May we all be so blessed as to have Him, give us the fruit of Himself, to give to others that are very needful of them as well. Amen. He is a giving and blessing Son of God, and Son of Man, Emmanuel, and is with us every step of our journey, as we invite Him in to be. Amen. He wants us to give His Spirit away, just as He gave His to us, so that we’ll all together be filled to the maximum. Amen~~~He is this Amen.
What should be evident in my life is the Holy Spirit’s fruit – love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, and self-control. Sometimes, only one or two, or even maybe three, are evident. I look forward to the day when these are evident in my life all at one time! 🙂
… and, oops! How could I forget faithfulness!
🙂
Thanks Bebe. We all need to grow. I also hope for the day when they are all evident in my life.
Yes, indeed
By Grace and the Holy Spirit,
The saints can bear good fruits.
Thanks Peter. All things by His grace. Amen.
