Honey Words

Some things in life help us, but on occasion those very same things hurt us. Bees are a great example of this. They pollinate crops which provide us with good food and nourishment. They also produce golden honey that is sweet to our lips and contains micronutrients for us. But yet when they sting, it hurts.

Words can also sting or be nourishing and sweet. When we use harsh words they painfully sting others. But when we use words to encourage people they are words like “a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.” May God lead us to build up and encourage others with words sweet like honey.
