Peacocks and the Infinite Wisdom of God

Day Attributes of God Series: Isaiah 28:29 and the Beauty of a Peacock

“This also comes from the LORD of Hosts, who is wonderful in counsel and excellent in wisdom.” Isaiah 28:29

God’s Infinite Wisdom, Peacocks and Evolution

The peacock snubs its nose (or beak 😀) in the face of evolution. Evolutionists tell us that animals evolve features that better help them survive. Those animals with the best survival features are chosen as mates. But that’s not how it works for peacocks.

The male’s bright colors and big tails don’t make for good survival features. The brighter colors make the birds easy to see and the bigger tails make it hard for them to fly away. But yet peahens (the females) select the peacocks with the brightest colors and biggest tails to mate with. That defies evolution.

In His infinite wisdom God created peacocks beautiful and He created them to survive. Infinite wisdom is one of the Attributes of God. God’s wisdom far exceeds that of any evolutionary scientist or the collective knowledge of all humanity through the ages.

God knew what He was doing when He created peacocks. By His infinite wisdom they live. With that wisdom, God also knew what He was doing when He created you and me. Trust in Him.
