“So that all the peoples of the earth may know that the LORD is God; there is no one else. Let your heart therefore be wholly devoted to the LORD our God, to walk in His statutes and to keep His commandments, as at this day.” 1 Kings 8:60-61

Living by His Statutes 

In I Kings 8 King Solomon dedicates the newly constructed temple of the Lord. In his benediction (verses 54-61) he calls the people of Israel to let their hearts “be wholly devoted to the LORD our God.”

The Bible calls us to examine our lives. When we look at our lives do the ways we speak, live, and dress reflect a heart for God or a heart for something else? And what about the entertainment choices we make? Do they reflect a heart for God?

Do we walk the way God calls us to walk? Only through Christian believers who live for Christ will the world be changed.
