Psalm 5:11 and A Male Red-winged Blackbird Watches Over His Family, Sarpy County, Nebraska.
“But let all who take refuge in You be glad, let them ever sing for joy; and may You shelter them, that those who love Your name may exult in You.” Psalm 5:11
Father’s Day: A Day for Protectors
This male red-winged blackbird sings not for joy, but to protect his family. His nest hides in the cattails in a ditch alongside a bike trail. As people walk and bike by he sings a bold warning from the branches above to defend his young.
God our heavenly father protects those He loves and calls earthly fathers to follow His example.
As a father I know God has called me to physically protect my children. But even more importantly, today he calls me and all Christian men to protect our children from the culture. The left-winged progressive culture wants to destroy our families and our faith. We need to stand between the culture and our children, clearly defining right and wrong so our children may find their way.
