God’s Refreshing Springs in the Midst

I love the countless word images the Scripture gives on how God works and Who He is. So often those word images come from nature.

Isaiah 41:18, like many others passages, uses the refreshing qualities of water to describe the goodness of God. It declares that God will give us renewing water and make the dry land a fountain. The water from God’s fountain refreshes our soul like the water in a barren wilderness refreshes the weary.
