Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 and Plants Growing Out of a Decaying Log, Fontenelle Forest, Nebraska.
“To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck what is planted.” Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 (NKJV)
God Has a Purpose for Everything
Seasons come and seasons go. Life comes and life goes. God carries away the old and brings renewal. In this photograph, an old log has nearly completely rotted away. As it decays, new life emerges from it.
In God’s economy, He does not allow anything to go to waste. When an old log dies, God does not allow it to fade away into nothing. He uses it to replenish the soil and to feed the next generation of plants.
Our great God is so wise! Let us praise Him! He gives usefulness to everything, even things that seem to have no purpose. God uses every season and every event for some purpose even when we don’t understand.
