Hebrews 10:24-25 and Sandhill Cranes Take Flight at Dawn, Platte River Valley, Central Nebraska.
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” Hebrews 10:24-25 (ESV)
Meeting Together with Fellow Believers
The Bible calls us to encourage one another and to help each other grow in faith. The primary way we do this is by meeting together.
With the Covid-19 threat some areas have placed heavy restrictions on churches, but in other areas the restrictions are minimal. Too many believers who live in less restricted areas still aren’t attending church. They view services online or not all, but believers need to realize that “online church” is not church.
God understands that some of us cannot get out and go, but for those of us who can, God commands us to gather together. We can meet in our church buildings or in our homes. It doesn’t matter where, it just matters that we do.
The Bible calls us not live in fear (2 Timothy 1:7) and the proper precautions need to be taken, but God wants His people to meet together.
