Song of Solomon 6:10 and a Goldfinch in Coneflowers, Sarpy County, Nebraska.
“Who is this that appears like the dawn, fair as the moon, bright as the sun, majestic as the stars in procession?” Song of Solomon 6:10
Like the dawn of God’s Love
The other day I saw a mated pair of goldfinches in our coneflowers. The male’s bright yellow color appeared “like the dawn” and “bright as the sun”. I praise God that He created so many animals bright and beautiful that we may enjoy them with our eyes. He didn’t have to make them that way, but He did. He did so to reveal His goodness and His glory and His love for us.
God loves us so much that He made little things in nature beautiful to our eyes. If He loves us with the small things, how much more does He love us with the great things.
This verse appears in the Song of Solomon, which is metaphorical poem illustrating God’s love and passion for us. Read all of Song of Solomon chapter 6 here.
