“I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.” John 5:15

I am the Vine… Abide in Me

God gives us everything. The Bible tells us He provides for our physical needs and as this verse explains, He provides for the spiritual needs of Christian believers who remain close to Him.

To abide in means to live in. Jesus desires we live in Him. When we live in Him we grow in our faith, and when we grow in our faith He uses us to touch others.

Those that don’t remain close to Christ drift away from Him. Verse 6 tells us that those who don’t “abide in” Christ are “thrown into the fire, and burned.” How sad.

Stay with Jesus and bear “much fruit.”
