How Great Thou Art

I shot a time lapse video of the entire 2024 eclipse. The photo is one frame of the video taken during the middle of totality. It has the face of the Moon illuminated by earthshine (light reflected back to the Moon from the Earth), the red glow of prominences extending out past the Moon, the far Corona and you will even find a few stars.

On Sunday the 7th, the day before the eclipse, we had an opportunity to attend Triple Cross Cowboy Church with friends that lived in Granbury TX. During the service the worship team sang “How Great Thou Art”, cowboy style, in recognition of the upcoming eclipse.

For me, this song “How Great Thou Art” reminds me of what an awesome Creator God, Jesus Christ, we serve. On Monday during the eclipse this song was playing in my mind as I watched the eclipse occur. Watching the eclipse was a powerful reminder of what an awesome God we serve.
