Quiet Waters and God’s Restoration

Psalm 23:1-3a and Malberg Lake, Boundary Waters, Minnesota.

“The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul.” Psalm 23:1-3a

Nature and God’s Restoration

Psalm 23 tells us the Lord is the one who restores the soul, but sometimes with the distractions of life happening all around us, we don’t give God room in our lives to give us peace. When life gets crazy, we need to pause and let God work in us. Nature makes for the perfect place to pause.

The things of nature slow us down, get us away from the distractions and help us open up to God’s restoration. Actually being by quiet waters or lying down in green pastures brings us to a better place to meet with God and feel His restoration power.
