Guest Post by John Freeman: Psalm 84:1-2 and The Horsehead Nebula in Deep Space
Where is God’s Dwelling Place?
The *Horsehead Nebula is not visible to the naked eye and can only be seen with a telescope. The process of sitting alongside my telescope and camera photographing one of the Lord’s secret places is a unique feeling of oneness with Him. I sit staring into the night sky wondering where God’s dwelling place is, knowing that one day I will dwell there with Him. Like the writer of Psalm 84 I yearn to see the courts of the Lord.
Read all of Psalm 84.

*Here is a little more info from John about the Horsehead Nebula.
The Horse Head Nebula (also known as Barnard 33 or B33) is a small dark nebula in the constellation Orion. The nebula is located just to the south of Alnitak, the easternmost star of Orion’s Belt, and is part of the much larger Orion molecular cloud complex. It appears within the southern region of the dense dust cloud known as Lynds 1630, along the edge of the much larger, active star-forming H II region called IC 434. The Horse Head Nebula is approximately 1,375 light-years from Earth. It was first discovered by Scottish astronomer Williamina Fleming in 1888 on a photographic plate taken at the Harvard College Observatory
