Deuteronomy 32:3a-4 and Rock Formations in Black Hills, South Dakota.
“Ascribe greatness to our God. The Rock! His work is perfect, For all His ways are just; A God of faithfulness and without injustice, Righteous and upright is He.” Deuteronomy 32:3a-4
Ascribe Greatness to God
Wow! This short passage says a lot about God. Let’s look at what it says:
- Greatness—God is awesome. No one compares to Him
- The Rock—God does not change. He is steady, strong and stable.
- Perfect—God makes no mistakes.
- Faithfulness—God sticks closer than a friend. He stands by us and remains true to His promises.
- Without injustice—God always does the right thing and He punishes those who act unjustly
- Righteous and upright: God does not sin. He is perfectly holy and His just character is beyond questioning.
Over forty years ago, Song writer Peter West set these words to music. Worship leader Don Moen later recorded it and churches around people around the world sang the song.
