Ephesians 4:1 & a Foot Bridge, Table in Wilderness Camp, Snowy Range Mountains, Wyoming.
“Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called.” Ephesians 4:1
Walk Worthy of God’s Calling
The Apostle Paul wrote in Ephesians 2:8-9 that God saves believers by His grace and not by our works. We don’t have to do good works to get to Heaven. Christ gets us there because our good works can’t get us there.
But does that mean we should live any old way? Not at all.
In Ephesians 4:1 Paul urges believers “to walk in a manner worthy of the calling” given us. In the previous chapters he writes of the great things God has done for us—how He saved us and made us His own. If God did great things for us and made us His children, then He also calls us to live like it. May we do just that: living in a way worthy of being His and serving Him In all we do in all things. Amen.
