Time with God in Nature
The Bible tells us that Jesus often spent time alone in the wilderness. In this particular circumstance it was the second time in two days Jesus tried to get alone after hearing about the death of his cousin, John the Baptist.
The first time He tried to get away the crowds followed Him. Finally, after He fed over 5,000 people Jesus sent His disciples away in a boat and He retreated to a mountain to be alone with the Father.
Jesus knew there are times we just need to get away and pray. As Christians, we follow in Christ’s footsteps when we get outside and spend time alone with the Father in nature. When we do so we will be refreshed and blessed.
