The Revealing of Mystery of Christ

Ephesians 3:4-5 and Mountain Reflections in Redrock Lake, Glacier National Park, Montana.

“In reading this, then, you will be able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ, which was not made known to men in other generations as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to God’s holy apostles and prophets.” Ephesians 3:4-5

 The Mystery of Christ’s Salvation

What mystery does the Apostle Paul speak of in Ephesians chapter 3? He speaks of the great mystery that God made known to Him and the other apostles, that is the secret working of salvation through Christ and how it would manifest itself in the Church.

The Old Testament prophets and believers did not know exactly what the salvation of the Lord would look like. Today, through the teachings of Paul and the other apostles, we have a better picture of salvation. Salvation comes to mankind through Christ’s death on the cross and it’s available to all people, not just to the Jews. The ancient Hebrews did not fully realize the means of God’s salvation and that it was also available to the Gentiles.

Read all of Ephesians 3.
