Hello. My sabbatical is going well. I hope you’re enjoying the rerun of photos from last year as I take a break from posting.
During my sabbatical I’ve taken some new photographs that will eventually appear on this website. Some of those photographs were taking in the Snowy Mountain Range in Wyoming. My family and I just got back from a trip there. In addition to doing some photography my family and I did some hiking and also visited a Christian camp there called Table in the Wilderness. I took the above photo on the camp’s property. Plenty of beautiful aspen, cottonwood and pine trees fill the campground.

Another thing filling my time is that I am working on a webinar called “Connecting with Nature.” As the title suggest, the focus of the webinar is how connecting with nature can help us spiritually, mentally and physically.
The presenters at the webinar will be myself and three other specialist in different areas of nature. All of us are Christians and have different areas of expertise. Mine of course is photography. I will be giving a presentation called “Composition and Connection.” It’s about exploring the outdoors through photography to help us better connect with God.
The other three presenters will be discussing:
- How to improve your health by spending time in creation.
- How to make your backyard into habitat for pollinators and other wildlife.
- The benefits of eating a more natural diet including herbs and natural nutrients.
