“For You are the LORD Most High over all the earth; You are exalted far above all gods.” Psalm 97:9

The Lord Most High Reigns

During biblical times each nation made up their own gods. There were the gods of the Philistines, the gods of Egyptians and so on. But these man made gods were only the gods of one nation or people.

By contrast Yahweh, the God of Israel, claimed to be the God above all gods and all nations would someday worship Him. For no one is greater than Him and He is our God. He is the Lord Most High.

Just as the mountains tower above the landscape below, God greatness rises far above any fictitious deity created by mortal men.
