Light Overcomes all Darkness

From the very first passage the Bible talks about light and how light overcomes darkness. Light transforms darkness. Where light exists darkness cannot. Darkness can only come if light goes away. That’s how it is at sunset. The darkness doesn’t come, the sun light goes away until the morning.

God created the light for the Earth in Genesis and in the New Testament God brought spiritual light through Christ. When we keep Christ in our hearts darkness can not exist there. And when we bring Christ to the world around us, the darkness hates it. 

Dear Lord, in this dark world we live in, may we shine your light and drive out the darkness.
