1 Kings 8:27 and the Sky above Turquoise Lake, San Isabel National Forest, Colorado.
“But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain You, how much less this house which I have built!” 1 Kings 8:27
In the Highest Heaven and in You
In 1 Kings 8:27 King Solomon declares that the temple he built cannot contain God. Solomon says that even the highest heavens cannot hold Him. God is uncontainable. He transcends the heavens and all creation!
Nothing in the universe can hold God, but yet He reaches down to you and me in time and space and dwells with us. What an amazing thought! Each day the all powerful, uncreated God walks right with us and lives in the hearts of those who believe.
Hold comfort in that thought: The all-powerful God that exists beyond the universe also dwells in You. Rest in Him.
