Jesus said
Jesus said, “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.” In Him we find rest and we find hope for our daily struggles. More importantly than finding help for our daily struggles, In Jesus we find salvation for our sins.
Sin? What Sin?
Have you ever done anything that your conscience (an inner voice of conviction) told you was wrong? Pretty much we all have. Where did that conscience come from? It came from God.
God gave us our conscience to help us to do good. Unfortunately, each one of us chooses to do bad things that are wrong and go against the standards and will of God. That’s what the Bible calls sin. We all sin and rebel against God.
When we sin we break our relationship with God. The Bible says we are powerless to restore that relationship.
God doesn’t like sin because He is completely righteous, but also because He desire to have an in depth relationship with us. When we live a sinful life we can’t have a right relationship with God. When we don’t have a right relationship with God and are living in rebellion against Him we are destined for eternal condemnation in hell.
Still God want us to live with Him, but how can that happen?
We can find Life and Hope in God through Jesus.
We find Hope in God through His son Jesus. Jesus came to earth to live a perfect life. After living a sin free life He died a painful death on a cross to pay the penalty for our sins. But the wonderful thing is that after He died, he physically rose from the dead three days later. He defeated death and sin!!! Because Jesus died and rose from the dead we can live an eternal life in heaven with Him.
