Psalm 145:15-17 and a Fat Squirrel Ready for Winter, Eastern Nebraska and Psalm
“The eyes of all look to You, and You give them their food in due time. You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing. The LORD is righteous in all His ways and kind in all His deeds.” Psalm 145:15-17
God Gives Good Things
This squirrel looks a lot like how many people feel the day after Thanksgiving. I wonder how many acorns he ate throughout the fall? Perhaps almost as much turkey and pumpkin pie I ate yesterday?
The little guy (or I should I say “big guy”) sure looks stuffed, just like so many of us this time of year. But for this squirrel, all his fat is important. He needs it to survive the winter. He flattened himself up and has been satisfied with good things in abundance from God.
God takes care of nature and people. I feel blessed like this squirrel. Praise God for our all He provides for us this holiday season and throughout the year. God certainly gives good things!
Read all of Psalm 145 and find encouragement in God’s goodness.
