Philippians 4:8 and a Snow Covered Path Through Trees, Fontenelle Forest, Bellevue, Nebraska.
“Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.” Philippians 4:8
Dwell on Whatever is Pure and Good
So much in life seeks to divert our attention from the pure things. Instead of giving into wordy intentions maybe we should make it a habit to think about the things of God.
The above Bible verse calls us to “dwell on whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure” and so on. These are the thoughts God wants in the forefront of our minds.
Think how much better our attitudes would be if we kept in mind the lovely, the good and things worthy of praise. I know my life would be a lot more joyful in both good times and in bad if I kept focused on the pure, good and excellent things of God.
