Psalm 71:3 and Desert Rock Formations, Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah.
“Be to me a rock of habitation to which I may continually come; You have given a commandment to save me, for You are my rock and my fortress.” Psalm 71:3
Rock of Strength and Deliverance
The publishers of The New American Standard Bible call Psalm 71 a “Prayer of an Old Man for Deliverance” and the publishers of the English Standard Version call it a psalm for when “When My Strength Is Spent”. When we tire and lose our strength God is still there for us. He stands as a rock of strength and deliverance for us to hang on to. He is a fortress that protects us. Our God defends us and He never weakens or tires.
