A hiker stands on a cliff overlooking Zion Canyon in Zion National Park The Visual Verse photos are artistic illustrations meant to glorify God, point to Him as Creator and inspire faith in others. That is their purpose They are not meant to be used as a Bible commentary or a study guide. To get the true message of any scripture we must read it in the context of the passage and in the context of the entire Bible.

I wrote a blog about the importance of climbing the Mountain of God’s Word that you might like to read. And here are some good links to really explore the Bible with greater purpose:

I started the Visual Verse of the Day on Facebook to promote my book God’s Art: Spiritual Insights From a Wildlife Photographer. At that time we just called the feature “God’s Art” to promote the book. From there, it evolved into a daily photo from nature along with a verse from the Bible. When the likes on the page started surging past 40,000, I realized I had something special. The time came to create a blog and Twitter page to touch more people on a daily basis. The latest growing figure on the Facebook page is 850,000 likes and about 9,100 monthly views of the blog.

Sign up for the Visual Verse to have it sent to your inbox so you don’t miss out.
